Description

This Mobius Ball is made from a scaled down digital print of Lucas Cranach the Elder's "The Stag Hunt of Frederick III, Elector of Saxony (1529)". It is an inkjet print on watercolor paper, which was then cut into strips and sealed with flexible acrylic varnish before assembling into a Mobius Ball. The strips are about 3/8" wide with a diameter of 2". The ends of the strips are overlapped and glued, then the joins were then sealed with more acrylic varnish. One interesting aspect of this project was that the entire digital print was used in making the Mobius Ball; another interesting thing about this design is that being built out of strips gives it a more spherical shape than Mobius Balls made from wire.
